Hi, I’m Jason Wingrove, and I’ve dedicated the past 32 years of my life to the world of cinema,
specialising as a focus puller and camera operator. I started in the film industry in 1993,
fuelled by a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail.
I was fortunate enough to secure a place on an industry-led training scheme. Over the years,
I’ve had the pleasure of working on a diverse range of projects, from indie films to blockbuster hits.
As a focus puller, my role is central to the visual narrative.
It’s not just about adjusting the lens; it’s about capturing the essence of a moment.
Whether it’s the intense emotion of a dramatic scene or the vibrant energy of a fast-paced action sequence.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the most talented professionals.
Every project is a learning experience, allowing me to hone my craft and adapt to the ever-evolving technology in filmmaking.
When I’m not on set, I like to share my experiences with aspiring filmmakers.
I believe in the importance of mentorship and enjoy teaching workshops where I can impart some of the knowledge I’ve gained over the years.
I love inspiring the next generation of film professionals and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
In summary, my extensive experience as a focus puller has equipped me with the skills and insights necessary to excel in the film industry.
I take pride in my ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, even amidst the chaos that often accompanies film production.
I’m passionate about my work, dedicated to my craft, and always eager to embrace new challenges.
